This turned into another cracker of a game, these two teams never seem to have dull matches!! The first five baskets for the Destryoers, saw all their players getting on the scoresheet, while Aubs kept the Wolves in touch. Alex was keeping a close eye on Steve to prevent him from getting on a roll as in the previous meeting, Chris and Jase scored some nice outside shots while Mookie and Dave contributed 11 first half points between them to edge the Destroyers ahead. 18 first half points from Aubs kept the Wolves in the hunt.
Half Time Score: 18 - 24
Ivor, who had a few problems with his camber bar got into the game at the start of the second half and Alex, Michael and Ivor all scored to even up the score at 30 all. Steve scored to put the Destroyers up by 2, only for Aubs to reply to even it at 32 all. Jase scored some tough shots as the teams traded basket for basket, and as the buzzer sounded, the score was tied at 38 all.
End Of Regulation Time Score: 38 - 38
Overtime proved to be all Destryoers, as their physical press paid dividends, with them outscoring the Wolves 8-0. Thsi win confirmed the Destroyers place in the Final.

In a closely fought 1st half, neither team could have got more than 4 points ahead. Staff opened the scoring for the Warriors with Chris and Dave also getting on the scoresheet. Tight zone defences at both ends restricted the scoring opportunities to mostly outside shots. The sides went in at half time all square.
Half Time Score: 16 - 16
As the Warriors extended their defence, their change of tactics started to pay dividends as the Wolves began to tire, after the exercisions of the first game. The Warriors pulled out into a 10 point lead with Paul G scoring 4 baskets, 2 three pointers from Aubs threatened to bring the Wolves back into contention, but the Warriors scored a couple of cheap baskets to keep their noses in front. The Warriors physical 'D' caused the Wolves all sorts of problems as they couldn't get good shooting positions. Baskets from Chrisand Staff allowed the Warriors to close out the game and also gain a valuable bonus point.

The Wolves who were missing Ivor for this encounter started well and got into an 8 - 4 lead with baskets from Davy, Alex and Aubs. This didn't deter the Destroyers who replied with baskets from Lefty, Mookie and Chris, who must get a special mention as he has been out for several months, but is playing as if he was never away!!! After 14 minutes, the Destroyers stepped up their defensive pressure and this immediately paid dividends, as they got several turnovers and went into the lead. Alex scored a couple of tough baskets for the Wolves to reduce the deficit to 5. At the end of the 1st half, every player had scored at least 1 basket.
 

Half Time Score: 25 - 20

As expected the Destroyers continued their tough pressing tactic, which the Wolves struggled to cope with. The pace was furious, with baskets flying in at either end, but the Destroyers were always able to keep their noses in front as they consistently worked the ball to an open teammate. Lefty was a constant threat inside, scoring some nice shots and getting several rebounds, Mookie and Jase were controlling the ball well and Dave and Chris were getting free rebounds at will. With 3 minutes left, Davy picked up his 5th foul and was sin-binned for 2 minutes. The Destroyers full advantage of their free man to extend their lead and close out the game. The Destroyers fully deserved their victory with all players working very hard, they had patience in offence, used pick and roll to good effect and had inside and outside threats with some super shooting, an excellent team performance.
